Trafigura: A Story That Needs To Be Told

People say children are the face of the future. We must invest in them and their well-being. Well, it is true and it should be followed in its most natural form. People need to understand one thing that there is a lot that is going around the world. Although the world is educated and the notion about kids should not be allowed to work is pretty clear, giant firms and companies still choose to use kids for mining purposes. It is something that is really sad and needs to be addressed that why the future of children is put in line for a few extra grand or rocks. There are many movements and work that is being done all around the world for uplifting the ordinary and poor people but something that never gets limelight is mine worker. Trafigura is an effort that has been made to make the lives of the kids who are being forced to do labor when they should be at a school, studying.

Trafigura was a project started by the companies after the verdict of the American court. The case that was brought in front of the court was about the death of kids and workers in the mines due to the collapse of the mine and all the other accidents happening in the Congo basin region. They were not even provided proper equipment, they had to dig out cobalt and different other materials with their bare hands or very primitive tools which were a very tiresome job. Later they assigned new machines, better equipment, and medical facility to take care of the situation.
