Béchamel
is a basically mixed in its origin. It was originated in the areas of both
France and Italy sometime during the 17th century and has been chief
sauce of the French cuisine since a long time. It is one of the most famous
sauces all over the world and it is used as a base sauce for half of the dishes
of French and Italian origin. Far from being restricted to France only, this
wonderful sauce is famous all the world now and it is widely used with various
fusion styles in the east as well as the west. The fact that it is a very
famous base sauce means that many sauces are made by further adding a few
ingredients to the basic recipe. There is even vegan béchamel (bechamel
vegana) for those who are our vegans.
Veganism
is becoming very famous all over the world and there are significant number of
people around us who have no love for anything that comes from animals.
Basically these people consider it cruel to kill animals or use their produce
which they think are the animals’ right only. However, there are still many
around us who adhere to vegan foods at times because of their allergies. Some
people have serious lactose intolerance and many can have other complicated
conditions in which anything to do with dairy can be troublesome. For those vegan
béchamel (bechamel vegana) is the best option as the milk part in it can
easily be replaced.
