Why You Need to Get the Employers’ orientation programme

The employers’ orientation programme is one of those courses that is required of employers of foreign domestic workers, otherwise known as FDW, who are employing such workers for the first time, or who have had to employ the same set of workers frequently. This is a course module that helps employers to be able to see how better to deal with the workers.
This is a scheme established to help you better understand what your roles as an employer are, and how you can best maximize the worker under your care. That being established, it is important to know the two different modes through which the employers’ orientation programme can be received.
Through an online mode, you can get the complete schedule of the EOP lectures and this takes about ninety minutes to be completed. Also, you could attend an actual classroom, where it will take you about three hours to have a rundown of the lecture schedule. The programme runs for as long as three months, beginning from the day of your registration. It is also important that you have completed the programme before you will be permitted to submit a Work Permit application.
It is also important that you are made aware of the eligibility status regarding this lecture. In order for you to be eligible for the eop, you need to be at least twenty-one years of age. In addition to this, you are also expected to have a valid SingPass account. All of these will then culminate into making you eligible to employ an fdw, after you might have submitted a work permit application. There are special considerations for those who have already become frequent employers of Foreign Domestic Workers. If you happen to fall into this category, you will be required, compulsorily to attend the classroom for the lectures.
